keep in mind, I use this also as a note book for myself. Paper notes get lost easily 😉

Presently, with great success and pleasure, I am using antennas-amplifiers dual-band antenna
they build extremely well. every antennas from that company is great. They also have „real“ satellite antennas, even with more gain and RHCP etc… for me, this small one works just fine enough…. I have a space problem on my roof 😉

Usually I can work all satellites as soon as they are above the horizon or „above the houses and buildings“ around me.
So, some directions I need at least15 degrees but e.g. to280-310degrees it is like 5 degrees.
So, you do not really always need RHCP to work satellites sucessfully.
Oh, have I mentioned, that I use LCF-12-50 for 2m and 70cm and LCF-78 for 23cm ?
No pre amp needed yet for the 18m runs of coax….
You think the system is unbalanced ? Yes, you are right. I have not finished trying some other antennas 😉
Oh, btw. I use a Yaesu G-5500 rotor.
But the most important device using satellites, is the C.S.N.Satellite tracker.
THIS is the best gadget I bought within the last decade. if you want to wrko satellites the easy way, go for the CSN.
You will love it. use it with Icom 9700 and G-5500 and enjoy. there is nothing better than this combo !!
I started working on satellites just after the prime years of satellites.
Anyway, it really makes fun and especially, I loved to be active on greencube.
During a short holiday in HB0, I worked some 100 QSOs and I think, I was the last station from HB0
being active via greencube. And thanks to Carsten Gron OZ9AAR for his software and personal help.
